The Symbolism of the Art on the Frame

Circles are our Sacred symbol as are the four directions. Colors symbolize different powers and virtues. Red is the Buffalo and our Blood. Black is power and Victory. Green is Earth and growth. Yellow is a new beginning and Spirituality. White is strength and Purity. Purple is Healing. Blue is great spiritual power, vastness. The 'ThunderBird,' who we are aware of during storms through his voice and eyes means Lightning. The Turtle refers to Turtle Island, the land we walk on. Straight lines mean speed/swiftness/direction; crosses mean a journey in four directions; jagged lines mean a suddenness with power as in lightning; curved or wavy lines mean a natural flowing; flowers, plants mean growth and new beginnings. Circles mean a wholeness,a completion, spirituality; triangles usually mean mountains, and /or a continuance of home and life.
